Darby District Tournament - Feburary 26 - 27, 2010 - Hilliard Darby HS
   The top 4 placers at districts will advance to states.

The Central Ohio Districts were held Feb. 26-27 and Pickerington North advanced 6 wrestlers to the State Tournament. We had 1 champion and 5 third placers. Overall, the team finished in 3rd place behind Marysville and then Springboro.

Westland Sectional Qualifier - Feburary 20, 2010
The Pickeringotn North team wrestled awesome at the Westland Sectional Qualifier! Not only did Pickerington North out score all teams by a wide margin but had 8 wrestlers in the finals. Final results are below.

Medina Invitational Tournament - December 28 - 29, 2009 - Medina HS
Over the holiday break, the Panther wrestlers headed to one of the toughest holiday tournaments in the state, the M.I.T. Determined to improve on last year’s finish where only 1 wrestler placed, 7 of the 13 wrestlers making the trip reached the podium, propelling the team to it’s best (by far) ever finish at this tournament. Scoring 124.5 points, the Panthers finished 5th overall, and 4th among Div. 1 schools Wrestlers who placed in the tournament are listed below in weight class order. Panther Duals – December 19th, 2009 – PHSN
2009 marked the 7th anniversary of the Panther Duals tournament. In the previous 6 years, PHSN was only able to manage a 3rd place finish as their best showing. That all changed Saturday, when the Panthers lived up to their #1 ranking in Central Ohio and soundly defeated the five teams they faced to claim the tournament Championship. Starting out as the overall #1 seed, the Panthers began pool wrestling by facing fellow OCC Ohio Division team, Grove City, and defeated them by the score of 51-15. They then dominated Dublin Scioto 65-8 to win their pool and move into the championship bracket of the top 8 teams. In the first round of the bracket, they faced Valley View HS (near Dayton), and beat them 69-6 winning every match they wrestled. That win set up a showdown with one of the most talented teams in Central Ohio, West Jefferson HS. Coming out strong in the middle and upper weights, the Panthers again dominated and won by the score of 47-21. That win propelled them into the Championship match against another top team in Central Ohio, Teays Valley. Last year the Panthers ; lost to TVHS 35-34 in their pool round, but this year the match was never in doubt as the Panthers again dominated 47-15, winning their first ever Panther Duals Title. Several Panther wrestlers went undefeated on the day. They are listed below in weight class order.

Olentangy Liberty Dual – December 16th, 2009 – PHSN
According to the first Div1 Dispatch Coach’s Poll, the Panthers are the top team in Central Ohio, with Olentangy Liberty ranked 6th. Those rankings seemed to be accurate as the Panthers, down two previous letter winners, defeated the Patriots by the score of 48-18, winning 10 of 14 matches. Individual match results are below. The match started at 103lbs.

Solon Comet Classic – December 4th-5th, 2009 – Solon HS
The Varsity Team headed north to Solon for it’s first test of the season, in what could arguably be called the toughest competition in the state for the weekend of Dec 4-5, 2009. Competing in the 2-day tournament with a 13 man team, they represented PHSN well, getting 12 of 13 into the second day of competition, and having 7 overall placers. Two Panthers, Nick Justus and Alec Lamancusa, topped their respective weight classes, and came home as Champions.
As a team the Panthers finished 5th out of 24 teams scoring 150.5 points, just 0.5pts behind 4th place Kenston (151) and 2.5ppts behind 3rd place Mentor (153). St. Peter Chanel won the tournament with 215.5 points followed by Oregon Clay to round out the top five. Complete results and be found here (http://www.soloncometclassic.com/ ). Central District All Star Meet – November 24th, 2009 – Olentangy HS
Six PHSN wrestlers who competed on the 2008-2009 varsity wrestling team were chosen to represent Pickerington North in the 2009-2010 Central District All Star Meet, held Tuesday night at Olentangy HS.  This is traditionally and great night of “preview” wrestling with a unique format in which the top wrestlers from Central District Division 1 schools are paired against the top wrestlers from Central District Division 2 and 3 schools. This allows the participants to compete against top wrestlers they will not see during the competition year. All bouts are exhibitions, and do not count towards any wrestlers' record, and are of a 1-1-1 format. The six Panthers wrestled well and came away with an overall 5-1 record on the night.

The JV Panthers headed back to Groveport on Saturday to compete in the John Rarey Classic JV Wrestling Tournament, and did so in dominating fashion. Even with only the top 4 wrestlers placing at each weight class, the JV Panthers managed to have 8 wrestlers earn a spot on the podium, and didn’t lose a finals match on their way to crowning 5 champions. The JV Panthers wrestled 13 matches against the JV wrestlers from Olentangy Liberty prior to the Varsity Dual, and outscored the Patriots 34-30 in those matches. Getting wins for the Panthers were:
